What are the encoding output dimensions?

We have three main encoding sizes. For these preset sizes, we use the following widths and work out the height based on whether your video uses a standard or wide screen aspect ratio.

The preset widths are:

  1. Small: 320 Pixels wide
  2. Medium: 448 Pixels wide
  3. Large: 576 Pixels wide

We encode videos to the following output dimensions, depending on the aspect ratio of your video:

4:3 Standard Screen Video

  • Small = 320 x 240

  • Medium = 448 x 336

  • Large = 576 x 432

16:9 Widescreen Video

  • Small = 320 x 180

  • Medium = 448 x 252

  • Large = 576 x 324
